The challenge

Barrier system failures at a popular tourist destination

At the parking area on Bergisel in Innsbruck, there were recurring problems with the existing barrier-based parking space management system. In the event of a barrier system failure, guests previously had to wait until the security service arrived on site to open the barrier manually. In addition, the plant was associated with high maintenance and costs for operators.

Our solution

Seamless parking experience for visitors and guests

In autumn 2023, Bergisel Betriebsgesellschaft introduced Peter Park's system solution. When driving in and leaving the parking area, a scanner now reads the vehicle's license plate and the parking time is automatically determined. The pay machines offer extensive payment options; alternatively, payment is also possible via the EasyPark parking app. The amount to be settled is limited to the actual length of stay parked.
