Peter Park System
The challenge
As part of a new mobility concept, Porz am Rhein Hospital in Cologne was looking for a solution for managing its 5 parking areas in order to be able to easily offer different conditions to the various user groups. The area in front of the hospital was known for wrong-way parkers and restricted arrivals and exits often led to backlogs and long waiting times at peak times. Visitors often parked in areas intended for employees.
Our solution
In 2021, the hospital introduced the Peter Park System, which eliminates barriers and personnel control of parking violations. The digital system solution dispenses with wear-prone components, meaning that the hospital reduces maintenance and repair costs. Based on data protection-compliant license plate recognition, the system processes parking processes efficiently and without backlogs at entrances and exits. Employees, patients and visitors park at different conditions, which the hospital simply stores in the system.
