The challenge

Aging barrier system

Since 2009, a barrier system has controlled every entrance and exit of the parking area at Scheibbs State Hospital. Maintenance and repairs to the barrier system caused high costs, and further costs were incurred in the event of failures due to the loss of parking fees, as parking people could enter and leave the parking area uncontrollably. Vehicles stopping in front of the barriers led to backlogs and increased CO2 emissions, and they also impeded traffic flow.

Our solution

Seamless parking instead of backlogs

The barrier-free Peter Park system does not require stopping when entering and exiting and improves traffic flow to and in the parking lot. The license plates of the parking users are scanned, which automatically determines the parking time. With the solution, the state hospital can offer employees, patients and visitors different parking conditions, which are paid using the license plate at user-friendly vending machines with intuitive menu navigation or via the Parkster app.
