The challenge
Operating the approximately 20-year-old barrier system at the Main car park and in the underground car park in Wertheim was very expensive and maintenance-intensive. The barrier solution made it very complex, especially at events, to allow visitors unobstructed access to the car park. The old barrier system would have required renovation measures or a new building over the next few years.
Our solution
With the system now installed, which Peter Park has tailored to the needs of the Wertheim urban development company, the vehicle's license plate is read with the help of a scanner when entering and exiting, making barrier systems unnecessary and visitors only pay for the actual parking time. Payment is made using the “Easy Park” smartphone app, or alternatively at a parking machine — in each case by entering the official license plate number.
