Peter Park and EasyPark intensify cooperation on barrier-free parking areas
Peter Park System GmbH and EasyPark Group set a new standard in the digitalization of traffic.
Through deeper integration between EasyPark and the Peter Park System, users can now pay automatically via the Automatic CameraPark feature on barrier-free parking spaces and parking garages equipped with the Peter Park system. This gives parkers the most comfortable parking experience possible.
EasyPark users can activate the new feature in the EasyPark app. After a one-time activation, parkers are able to park in the technically upgraded parking spaces and pay fully automatically: When entering a barrier-free Automatic CameraPark area, the parking process is automatically started in the EasyPark app without having to open the app. If the car leaves the area again, the parking process is automatically ended and payment is made.

This is made possible by the collaboration between Munich-based technology provider Peter Park System GmbH and the EasyPark parking app. The Peter Park system enables barrier-free entry and exit through automatic number plate recognition and, as a platform, offers links to various mobility services. By integrating EasyPark, the registered parking process can be paid for in the app, cashless and transparently.
Automatic CameraPark combines the technology under a new standard: If the feature in the EasyPark app has been activated once through a so-called opt-in, when entering a parking area/parking garage equipped with the Peter Park system, the license plate is read and the parking process is automatically started in the EasyPark app. This makes manual check-in superfluous. When leaving, the check-out is also carried out via license plate recognition and the parking process is paid automatically.
“Parking people only pay for the time that has been parked, without stress and without having to think about paying at the vending machine or fearing incorrectly solved tickets. The parking process can be viewed in the EasyPark app at any time. The feature is also a popular innovation for frequency users, as the effect of automated “pay what you use” means additional convenience and thus creates a locational advantage for suitably equipped parking garages,” says Maximilian Schlereth, managing director of Peter Park System GmbH.
The milestone set in automating parking processes marks the next step towards a new standard in parking space management and customer friendliness.
